5 Tips to Stay in Flow
Flow is a marvelous state whereby you forget about time, your separate existence, your problems and everything that is not totally relevant for you in the moment. You are totally involved. Totally in the zone, just doing your thing, not managing yourself but just being.Getting in to Flow can be hard, more on that here, but staying in Flow is also an art in and of itself.
Here are some things to really think about before you want to get in to flow:
1. Make sure you are not disturbed
If you can put your phone on airplane mode, put off the notifications on your chat or unplug the wifi. Far too often f you are disturbed it is hard to bget in to the samen flow. Going to a secluded place can be really helpful too.
2. Prepare everything you need beforehand
Take note pads, pens, make sure your battery is charged. Nothing is worse than when you get somewhere to work and flow for a while and you need to go back home to get a charger.
3. Do not switch tasks or multi task.
Once you get going make sure you just keep going. Once you get going, you can flow all the way. When you start multi-tasking you can start losing momentum and digressing too far. Especially social media can distract you out of flow. Before you know it is hard to get into flow again.
4. Clear out your agenda
When you’re in meetings especially short meetings or business meetings can get you out of your flow. Make sure you block several hour time slots to work on things, get into flow and make the most of it.
5. Don’t change locations
